Job Title: CHIEF ENGINEER, Location: TBA. Functions - The Chief Engineer is responsible for the management, the maintenance, repair and operation of all mechanical and electrical equipment on board the unit. He/she has to maintain documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Chief Engineer is responsible for the preventative maintenance system on board. He/she shall advise the O.I.M. on all engineering, maintenance and repair matters. The Chief Engineer is to operate in such a manner as to effect safe and efficient performance. Requirements-
-Must have a valid USCG Chief Engineer License, or recognized equivalent in accordance with 840.45. - Have at least three years engineering experience on board offshore drilling units. Have at least one year experience, as Assistant Engineer, on the type of offshore drilling unit being assigned to. - Successfully pass NIDA/DOT drug screen, or equivalent if non-US hiring location - Successfully demonstrate physical ability to perform essential job functions - Must successfully pass pre-placement medical examination - Must be at least 20 years of age - Must be able to perform job functions safely - Must be able to comply with Company rules.
Job Title: BRANCH MANAGER, City: Fort McMurray, AB, Functions -organizing and adjusting staff to meet scheduled completion and operational needs; -determining methods of operation and issuing specific instructions; -giving or obtaining rulings on complicated survey drafting and legal problems; -assisting in the preparation and conducting of training programs; -ensuring adherence to the organization's Health & Safety policy and procedures; -ensuring that good public relations are maintained; -setting and controlling department budgets; -evaluating and reporting on staff performance; -marketing and promotion; -maintaining inter-departmental and inter-company relations; -management of staff regarding career direction, articling of new professionals, promotions, discipline etc.
Requirements - -Professional Engineer degree, preferably Geomatic Engineer, but other Engineering designations will be considered; -possess or ability to obtain registration as Land Surveyor; -Minimum of five years related experience in progressively responsible management positions; -excellent verbal communications skills; -strong written communication and report writing skills; -demonstrated interpersonal and leaderships skills and the ability to work well in a team environment; -strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities; -strong administrative abilities
